The University of Leeds Shodokan aikido club was established in 2007 by Justin Gallagher (4th dan). The club is now also run by Rachel Johnson (3rd dan) and Toshiki Shiomitsu (3rd dan). We train in the University sports centre (the Edge) twice a week.

We are a very friendly and sociable club with lots of events outside of the dojo too.

We regularly attend national and international events to meet other aikidoka and train with some of the best instructors from around the world. We follow the Shodokan system lead by Nariama Shihan at the Honbu Dojo in Osaka, Japan. As such the club tries to visit Japan every few years.
